ROCHELLE –– ‘The Hub City’ is seeing progress as construction is hammering away around town. Local businesses are expanding services and repairing existing locations to better serve the community.
Liquor ‘n’ wine is constructing a new location in Rochelle's northern corridor along route 251. Further down north Seventh Street, Sawicki Motor Company is remodeling the collision center to update the front show room. T-Byrd Lanes remained open as steel beams were placed to secure roof supports.
Construction began in November to update the former Sawicki showroom. The front showroom portion of the building has sat empty for several years as Sawicki Collision Center has occupied the rear portion of the building. While Sawicki works to improve the showroom for the addition Jeep and Chrysler vehicles the collision center has remained open.
