ROCHELLE –– League of Women Voters aim to keep all voter, citizens and community members informed in both political and community issues. To help Rochelle residents know what is happening in their community the local league hosts a monthly community forum.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH,) one in four persons will experience a diagnosable mental illness in their lifetime. What services are available in Ogle County? Are services available in Rochelle? The league wntss to help family and friends who may be unsure where to turn for mental health information and services.
If you, a family member or a friend need mental health information or services to whom do you turn? What is available and how is it funded? Are there mental health services for every problem? Are there services in the Rochelle area? These questions will be addressed and others can be asked during a public forum on Thursday, Feb. 23.
Nick Head, President of the Ogle County Mental Health Board and Jennifer Thomason, Director of Adult Services at Sinnissippi Centers will speak at the Rochelle League of Women Voters’ meeting to be held at the KishHealth System Clinic on IL Route 38 east at 7 p.m.
