2021 Ogle County Fair 4-H schedule

OREGON — The 2021 Ogle County 4-H Fair will be held in conjunction with the 168th Ogle County Fair in Oregon. The fair will be open to the public from July 31-Aug. 1. 

Visit the 4-H Fair to see local 4-H club members in action with their animals and experience the wide array of displays and presentations they have created for showcase in the exhibit building.

4-H competitions and special events are set as follows:

Wednesday, July 28: exhibit building open to the public from 3-9 p.m., 4-H swine check-in, weigh-in and stalled from 3-6 p.m., 4-H sheep, rabbit, poultry, goats and dairy check-in and stalled from 5-8 p.m., 4-H beef check-in, weigh-in and stalled from 5-8 p.m. and 4-H bucket calf clinic at 5 p.m.

Thursday, July 29: 4-H dairy goat milk production milk-out at 7:30 a.m., 4-H swine show at 8 a.m., exhibit building open to public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 4-H rabbit show at 10 a.m., 4-H dairy show at 11 a.m., 4-H sheep weigh-in from 3-4 p.m., 4-H sheep show at 5 p.m., 4-H beef show at 5 p.m., 4-H bucket calf check-in from 5:30-6 p.m., 4-H bucket calf judging at 6:30 p.m. and 4-H dairy goat milk production milk-out at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, July 30: 4-H goat show at 9 a.m., exhibit building open to public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 4-H poultry show at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 31: exhibit building open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., virtual blue ribbon livestock auction at 3 p.m. and master showmanship contest at 7 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 1: exhibit building open to public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., exhibit building check-out from 3-6 p.m., animals check-out for families with last names beginning with E-L at 2 p.m., animals check-out for families with last names beginning with M-Z at 3 p.m. and animals check-out for families with last names beginning with A-D at 4 p.m.

The Ogle County Fairgrounds is located two miles west of Oregon just off Illinois Route 64 on Limekiln Road. Daily admission to the fair is $8 for individuals four years old and up on Wednesday, July 28 through Sunday, Aug. 1, and includes carnival rides.

Discounted fair passes are available at Casey’s in Polo, Oregon, Mt. Morris, Byron and Stillman Valley.
