ROCHELLE — The Hub Hickory Nuts 4-H Club of Rochelle has had a busy past couple of months.
On Dec. 3, 2018, the club met to discuss plans for December 2018 and January 2019.
Club members were presented with the awards they earned for the prior year. They also brought donated gifts for Lutheran Social Services and they were delivered by one of the member’s parents.

The club’s annual fundraiser was also discussed. Plans were made to purchase tickets to Medieval Times for all 4-H Club members.
On Dec. 27, Hub Hickory Nuts members attended the Medieval Times for an entertaining show.
In January, the club met at T-Byrd Lanes for its annual bowling competition and monthly meeting.
At the Feb. 4 meeting, the Hub Hickory Nuts made Valentines to deliver to the residents at Rochelle Rehab & Health Care Center and discussed the club’s game for the upcoming annual Ogle County Penny Carnival.  The Penny Carnival will be held on Saturday, March 2 at the Oregon Coliseum from 5 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
The Hub Hickory Nuts 4-H meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Hicks Hall, Rochelle UMC, 709 4th Ave, Rochelle. The next monthly meeting will be held on Monday, March 4.
