ROCHELLE — St. Paul Lutheran School combined fundraising with activities early Friday for their fourth annual All-School Fun Run.
Over 150 students from Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grades spent most of the morning at Atwood Park, starting with a two-lap run/walk. There were also several strength-training stations positioned along the path.
Each classroom sets their own goals for the fundraising event and students receive pledges from family and friends.
“We have some fun activities for the students…the ball relay, ladders, leap frog, obstacle courses, tug of war with rope,” Kenzie Peters, first grade teacher, explained. “We want to keep them active and moving but having fun.”
The funds raised will go towards the purchase of new curriculum. Last year’s Fun Run raised approximately $5,500.
