A Rock Falls man was airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Hospital Wednesday afternoon following an accident on IL Route 38 west of Rochelle. At approximately 1:44 p.m., Ogle County deputies and Rochelle Fire/Ambulance personnel responded to a car versus motorcycle accident at the intersection of IL Route 38 and Fisher Rd. The rider of the motorcycle, Scott Wiersema, 45, of Rock Falls, was airlifted to OSF St. Anthony’s hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car, Stacy Witherspoon, 52, of Rochelle, was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection. (Photo by Katie Peterson)
