KINGS — Residents in Kings will see a large presence of police, fire and emergency responder presence at the grade school Saturday, but don’t be alarmed.
The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District, Rochelle Fire Department, Ogle County Emergency Management and Kings Consolidated School District #144 will be conducting a training exercise.
From 8 a.m. to noon at Kings School, emergency responders will conduct an active school shooting drill. Only participants and evaluators will be allowed on the school grounds during the drill.
