ROCHELLE — A popular event is returning this year and promises to be a fun, free event for the entire family.
The second annual Family Fest, sponsored by the Living Water Community Church, is scheduled for Saturday, July 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. near the gazebo in downtown Rochelle.
The free event will include waterslides, dunk tank, inflatables, and plenty of food and refreshments.

“This is a free event and an afternoon of fun for families,” said Joe Meadows, event organizer. “We’ve got inflatables and bounce houses, a snow machine, just for kids to have a ball. We will also have a train the kids can ride on that goes in and out of the parking lot…kids have a ball with that train.”
After the main event, the church will host a youth rally for high school and middle school ages beginning at 5 p.m., which is expected to last a couple of hours. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket.
