ROCHELLE — A little rain didn’t stop the annual pet show at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library Tuesday afternoon.
Dozens of youngsters attended the 58th annual event clutching their favorite stuffed animals or pictures of their beloved pets.

Each participant received a ribbon.
“We had one first place winner for the Coolest Dog, Wiggliest Turtle, or Horse with the Fluffiest Tail,” said Connie Avery, Assistant Director. “We had one that brought in a bearded dragon toy…we gave a first place ribbon to them for the most lifelike bearded dragon.”
After the show, participants were treated to milk and cookies compliments of the Hickory Nuts 4H.
There is still time to register for several of the summer reading programs. For more information, visit the library or call 815-562-3431.
