OREGON – Funnel cakes, ferris wheels and the county fair are summer staples across the country. The Ogle County Fair will Wednesday Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Ogle County Fairgrounds in Oregon.
The Ogle County Fair is an event where the whole family can have fun at affordable prices. There are free on-grounds shows and carnival rides with gate admission. Live music in the evening at the pavilion. There will be Grandstand events every night during the fair.
Enjoy a large variety of food vendors. There will be vendors showcasing different items for sale in our exhibit tent and all around the fair grounds.
Ogle County 4-H members will participate in livestock shows and 4-H Club members will also have creative projects on display from cooking and photography to welding and woodworking in the exhibit building. Crowning of the new fair queen will be Wednesday afternoon. The fair queen pageant will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the Fairgrounds.
Pre-tickets are for sale online, but will increase on the first day of the fair.
Entertainment
Free Pavilion music events (Lions Shelter) will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday featuring talented local musicians. The music events will be offered from 7:30-10 p.m. each night.
On Thursday, Aug. 2 we have Airloom Music Studio of Mount Morris featuring Mary Ley.
Friday night, Aug. 3 we have the “First Friday” local talented musicians.
Saturday night, Aug. 4 we have John Lindhorst and the Rock River Strummers from the Ukulele Station.
This entertainment will focus on all local talent. And hopefully people will get inspired to join some group and make it their hobby too.

Aug. 1, 6-10 p.m.
Aug. 2, 5-10 p.m.
Aug. 3, 3-10 p.m.
