ROCHELLE — Ann Marie Kerestes, 77, of Rochelle, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018.

Ann was born in Streator on Feb. 15, 1941 to Richard and Mary (Ragusa) Faulkner. She graduated from Streator Township High School in 1959 and the American School of Beauty Culture in 1960.

She married Daniel Kerestes on July 22, 1961.

Ann was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she was a St Joseph’s Altar committee volunteer for several years. She thoroughly enjoyed her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to bake and her family especially liked her Christmas cookies.

Ann was a talented decorative painter who also enjoyed stenciling, creating mosaic stepping stones and gardening. An avid Purdue fan, Ann was proud that her two children and all four grandchildren are Boilermakers.

Ann is survived by Daniel, her husband of 57 years; two children, Lori (Paul) Godby of New Palestine, Indiana and Scott (Candy) Kerestes of Veedersburg, Indiana; one sister Carol (Ronald) Safarcyk of Morris.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Aaron Godby (Fiancée Tracy Bontrager) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Megan (Taylor) March of Indianapolis, Indiana, Cole Kerestes of Nashville, Tennessee and Lauren Kerestes of Veedersburg, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6th St., Rochelle, IL 61068. A visitation will also be held at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rochelle. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Streator.
