ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle’s 13th Annual Christmas Tree Festival was an overwhelming success.
Thirteen decorated tabletop trees, wreaths, centerpieces and holiday gift baskets were displayed in city hall with the bidding culminating at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 during the downtown Christmas walk festivities. Visitors were delighted with the variety of trees and baskets available for viewing.
The trees, donated by local business, community and service groups, were purchased through a silent auction to benefit the Community Action Network. Auction proceeds were $1,260.
