Recently I was leaving Tilton School shortly before 3 p.m. when two girls raced out the door and stopped at the flagpole.
I noticed they were going to lower the flag. As I watched, I told them to be sure it didn’t touch the ground or it would have to be burned. There was no need to worry – it didn’t.
