OREGON – Eagle’s Nest Art Group invites the public to Conover Square art gallery for its annual Spring Membership Art Show on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, April 29 and 30 from 1-4 p.m.
The show continues on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7, 1-4 p.m.
Conover Square Mall is located at 201 N. Third Street, Oregon. The gallery is on the second floor of the mall.
This year’s show is dedicated to the memory of artist Lorraine Straw. Her work in oil, watercolor, and rosemaling will be on display, along with other tributes to her contribution to the Eagle’s Nest Art Group, the Norwegian National League and Friends of the Viking Ship projects.
In addition, a Harry Nurmet painting is being offered by silent auction to raise money for Hands On Oregon. The floral watercolor painting is on display at the Conover gallery. Those interested in submitting a bid may sign the auction sheet at the studio.
The winning bid will be announced at the end of the Spring Show on May 7 at 4 p.m.
Also, other donated art will be on display for sale to benefit Hands On Oregon.
The Eagle’s Nest Art Group began in 1957 and currently has over 70 members whose work includes painting, drawing, pottery, jewelry, glass work, photography and many other art forms.
Come for a celebration of local art along the Rock River at the converted piano factory, Conover Square Mall. Artists will be on hand to welcome you. Refreshments will be served.
The show is free and parking is plentiful. The shops of Conover Square will be open during show hours.
