ROCHELLE — Bonnie Mae Berg, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, 75, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 19, 2017 with her family at her side.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1941 in Bowling Green, Ky., the daughter of Gilbert R. and Gertrude “Verdie” (Petty) Richey. She married Clifton David Berg on Dec. 21, 1998 in Bowling Green, Ky. Bonnie worked in quality control at Avery Agners prior to retiring.
She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Randy Cooper; brother, Thomas Richey; and sister, Mary Perdue.
She is survived by her husband, Clifton Berg of Rochelle; three children, Richard (Patricia) Morell of Rockford, Monica (Brian) Perkins of Rochelle, and Michael Joe Brown of Malta; six grandchildren, Mila (Matthew) Morell, John and Nathan Brown, Natasha Cooper, Willow Whisler, and Jack Perkins; great-granddaughter, Ariana Morell; brother, James (Irene) Richey of Chehalis, Wash.; and special friend, Larry Joe Brown.
The family will host an open house with a time of gathering from 2 - 6 p.m on Saturday, March 25 at their home, 125 Joanne Lane, Rochelle. Cremation rites have been accorded. Unger Horner Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted the family with their arrangements.
