Rochelle moves to 12-2 in conference with win over Sandwich

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub freshman basketball team clinched the Interstate 8 Conference regular season title on Wednesday, defeating Sandwich 54-25 at home to move to 12-2 in the conference. Rochelle currently has a 20-2 overall record at the freshman level this season.

The team includes Van Gerber, Martiese Pogue, Ben Foster, Caden Goodwin, Mark Green, Jonny Bearrows, Brode Metzger, Caleb Dreska, Alex Foster, Ian Metzger, Gabe Montes, Andrew Johnson, Reece Harris, Parker Slattengren and Marco Belmonte. The boys are coached by Ryne Vrana and Jeff Dickey.
