SYCAMORE — The Rochelle varsity boys bowling team lost against Sycamore on Wednesday by a final score of 3,638-3,117 to drop to 3-5 on the season. Senior Brady Shank led the Hubs with a 636 series and a high score of 246 in the opening game.
Sycamore took the first game 1,163-1,001 behind 252 from Matt Cusumano and 236 by Christian Lanan. The Spartans won the second game 1,195-1,012 with three players including Jeffery Gasso (258) topping 200. Senior Dallas Driver’s 192 topped Rochelle’s scoreboard in the middle game.
Rochelle fell 1,280-1,104 in the third game with senior Tyler Johnson leading the Hubs with 225 for a 574 series. Shank added 205 for Rochelle, while Riley Runoweicki led the Spartans with 259 and Gasso added 224. Cusumano shot Sycamore’s high series of 681.
