OTTAWA — The Rochelle Hub track and field team battled Ottawa and LaSalle-Peru on the road Thursday afternoon. The Hubs placed third with 45.5 points, while Ottawa scored 55.5 and LaSalle-Peru won with 74.
Senior Trevor Goodwin claimed three event wins for the Hubs, winning both the 110-meter hurdles (17.14) and the 300-meter hurdles (45.51) while finishing first in the triple jump at 12.70 meters. Senior Oscar Aguirre won two throwing events on Thursday, bringing home both the shot put (12.26 meters) and the discus (31.24 meters) titles.
Senior Nolan Morrissette placed second in the high jump (1.52 meters) and sophomore Hayden Inman took third in the pole vault (2.43 meters). Junior Max Orlikowski finished fourth in the long jump at 4.50 meters.
Junior Michael Ramsey took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.23 seconds and freshman Kasey Jones finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:51.81. Rochelle’s 800-meter relay team of sophomore Landon DeLille, Orlikowski, Morrissette and Ramsey won with a time of 1:55.07. The Hubs (1-3) will race Sycamore and Morris next Tuesday.
