ROCHELLE — The League of Women Voters and the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 18th annual State of the Community Dinner Thursday with the topic of discussion centered around economic development.
More than 100 people attended the event, held at Hickory Grove.
“The chamber is always thrilled to partner will the league on this event, said Tricia Herrera, Rochelle Chamber board president. “The league does a wonderful job of programming an event that promotes businesses in Rochelle and letting the attendees get an inside look at what is happening in our community. Each year the event is a wonderful showcase for Rochelle businesses.”
Guests included Adriana Milan and Michelle Pease, representing the city’s economic and community development departments, along with General Manager Dan Lundquist from Americold and representatives from BrightFarms, who all shared development and expansion plans.
