KINGS — According to Ogle County Sheriff's Department officials, an apparent wheel malfunction caused a driver to lose control of his car on Bethel Road Thursday morning, flip over and strike a utility pole.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday morning for a call of a roll-over and a vehicle on fire.
The driver had exited the vehicle with minor injuries and firefighters quickly extinguished the small fire.
Sheriff's deputies were blocking traffic going both ways on Bethel Road just west of Queens Road until the car could be towed and the utility pole and power lines could be put back in place.
More details will be published after the sheriff's department releases a full report.
