ROCHELLE — Central Bank Illinois, in Rochelle, is hosting a free document shred day on Saturday, Sept. 26. This free event will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the bank’s parking lot at 340 May Mart Drive in Rochelle.
“Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes around the world. It’s a crime that Central Bank takes seriously and works daily to ensure our customer’s financial information is safe and secure,” Central Bank Rochelle Operations Officer Shelley Haws said. “Secure document shredding is a good way to protect yourself from the growing risk of identity theft.”
A secure document destruction truck will be on site and the public is invited to stop by with personal documents to be shredded. Participants do not have to be a bank customer to participate in this free event. Bank staff will be available to assist and ensure documents are safely and securely destroyed. The bank does ask that individuals bringing documents to be shredded remain on-site until their items are destroyed.
