OREGON -— Anyone currently holding a position handling food or looking to find a position in the food industry is encouraged to attend the upcoming certified food protection course being offered in Oregon.
The Certified Food Protection Manager Course will be offered by University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator, Marilyn Csernus, MS, RD at the Ogle County Extension office located at 421 West Pines Rd., in Oregon.
The course is taught over two days on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The exam will be administered from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 7. A valid photo ID is required for the course.
The fee for this course is just $100 for the two days and includes the book, educational materials, examination, and lunch. This course meets the seven-hour course work and examination required by the state of Illinois.
This course is a National Registry of Food Safety Professionals® and once complete and exam passed you will be receive your Certified Food Protection Manger certification.
