ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce is once again participating in Small Business Saturday by hosting the Holiday Hunt On Nov. 26 throughout member businesses in the community.
Participants can stop by any of the participating businesses to pick up their Holiday Hunt card. They can shop or dine at the businesses while hunting for the hidden word in each location. Once they have found the holiday word for 15 of the 20 businesses, they can turn in their completed card at their last stop. The member businesses each will have specials, sales and promotions for the shoppers that day. That information will also be listed on the cards. The chamber will collect all cards on Monday following the hunt and draw a first, second and third place winner. Each winner receives prize packages including cash, gift cards and Community Cash donated by local banks and businesses.
"The Rochelle chamber's first priority is always to promote shopping local and we want to have an event that does that while having fun,” Chamber Executive Director Tricia Herrera said. “Last year we heard from so many residents that got caught up in the thrill of the hunt and loved supporting local merchants and restaurants in the process. "
The list of businesses participating this year can be found on the chamber’s website and Facebook page.
"Rochelle is so supportive of small business and we know this holiday season will be no exception,” Herrera said. “Make sure to mark your calendars and kick off the holiday season shopping in our community."
