ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity cheerleading team competed in the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet at RTHS on Thursday, finishing second out of five schools with 71.62 points. Rochelle will compete in the IHSA Peoria Sectional on Saturday, Jan. 29.
The varsity team is coached by Trish Rodeghero and includes Megan Thompson, Liberty Hayes, Riley White, Marisa Whaley, Baylie Sutton, Morgan Smardo, Ava Lynn, Rylee Jackson, Rivers Estock, Ellie Carmichael, Ava Albers, Lauryn Akey, Emily Montelongo and Jasmynn Lipscomb.
The Rochelle Lady Hub JV cheerleading team was one of two JV teams to compete in the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet at RTHS on Thursday. The JV team did not receive a score, but the team did receive feedback from the conference judges.
The JV team is coached by Mychaela Hurst and includes Elise Horner, Makayla Fore, McKenna Cook, Katie Burdin, Ella Alfano, Zoe White, Veronica Vaughn, Marianna Saldana, Bryn Kissack, Abbey Jarvis and Jocelyn Cervantes.
