MONROE CENTER — Chuck Hendrickson, 73, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Chuck was born Jan. 9, 1945 to Grant and Lillian Hendrickson in Rochelle. He married Judy Giblin on May 31, 1975.
Chuck’s life-long love of flying started in childhood, continued in Vietnam and flourished in the business he built - Hendrickson Flying Service.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Judy of Monroe Center; six children, Cori (Jacob Smith) Hendrickson, Jaime, Katee, Jessica, Cameron and Mitchell Hendrickson; two grandchildren, Kasper and Rowan Smith; three siblings, Yvonne Wiley, Jan (Jim) Roderick and Diane (Harlan) Richards.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Grant “Sonny” Hendrickson.
The visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 23 at the Hendrickson Flying Service hangar, 21532 Quitno Rd., Rochelle, just east of Creston. A luncheon will be served from noon until 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. and the burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery north of Creston, with military honors provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard. Please dress casual for warm weather.
Flowers may be sent to Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle. Memorials may be made in Chuck’s memory to The Disabled American Veterans or the Vietnam Veterans Association.
