Rochelle – The City of Rochelle’s contractor will begin construction on sidewalk and curb around the community mid-August and will be on the project for approximately one month.
Areas included in this year’s project include:
South Eighth St. near Spring Lake Pool
Ninth St. between the UP Rail Tracks and First Ave.
Mid-section of the 300 Block of North Sixth Street
This project is funded through the city’s capital improvements fund for sidewalks and pedestrian paths at a cost of approximately $130,000.
Citizens are reminded to obey all traffic and pedestrian control devices and to use caution while traveling through these areas.
