ROCHELLE – The Rochelle Municipal Utilities customer service office and City of Rochelle Community Development and Engineering Departments located at 333 Lincoln Highway are open by appointment only due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the area.
In order to best serve customers, anyone needing to conduct business in person is asked to make an appointment by calling 815-562-4155 (customer service) or 815-562-8717 (community development). The timing of appointments will be staggered due to limited lobby space and to maintain social distance.
Anyone entering the building for an appointment will be required to check their temperature and wear a mask. Anyone experiencing symptoms of illness is asked to stay home.
As always, several bill payment options are available to customers. Online and automatic payments are available through website at www.rmu.net. Two drop-boxes are located at 333 Lincoln Highway: one in the alley and one near the front door. Additionally, customer service staff will be available by phone to assist with phone payments or to assist with online payments.
