City’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is Dec. 1

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1 in the downtown area.
The lighted parade sponsored by the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce will take place down Lincoln Highway at 5:30 p.m., followed by the community tree lighting at City Hall at 6 p.m.
There will be carriage rides sponsored by the city at the Flagg Township Museum from 4-8 p.m. Reindeer will be at Terri Schaefer State Farm from 4-6 p.m.
Santa & s’mores will take place at the museum from 5-7 p.m. Adventures in Whoville will take place at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library following the parade.
There will be a craft show at Rochelle VFW Post 3879 from 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 1 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 2. The VFW will host breakfast with Santa from 8-11 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Attendees of the Old Fashioned Christmas Walk can also enjoy the hospitality of Rochelle’s downtown businesses.
