City’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is Friday, Dec. 2

The City of Rochelle’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is planned for Friday, Dec. 2 downtown from 4-8 p.m. with additional happenings Saturday and Sunday.

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle’s Old Fashioned Christmas Walk is planned for Friday, Dec. 2 downtown from 4-8 p.m. with additional happenings Saturday and Sunday.

Carriage rides sponsored by the city will take place at the Flagg Township Museum from 4-8 p.m. Santa & S’mores will also take place at the museum from 5-7 p.m.

The Lighted Parade sponsored by the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce will take place on Lincoln Highway at 5:30 p.m.

The community tree lighting will take place at City Hall at 6 p.m.

Reindeer will be at Terri Schaefer State Farm from 4:30-7 p.m.

It will be Polar Express Night at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library following the parade.

A craft show will take place at the VFW from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Breakfast with Santa will take place at the VFW on Sunday from 8-11 a.m.

The city asked residents to enjoy the hospitality of downtown businesses including 926 Custom Embroidery, Acres Bistro, Artists Garden, Blueflame Décor, Colonial Flowers, Down Range, The Fit Hub, Hope Chest, Hub City Furniture, Kennay Farms Distilling, Midwestern Clothing Company, Pickin Station, Scalehouse Lounge and Ralfie’s BBQ.
