Cleaning up wreaths

As part of spring cemetery cleanup activities, members of the Rochelle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently picked more than 160 faded wreaths that originally were placed on veterans' graves as part of the Wreaths Across America program last December.

These wreaths were delivered to “Spud” Supancic for recycling through feeding goats at his local farm. Plans for celebrating Wreaths Across America in December 2021 are already being made with possible expansion beyond the currently supported cemeteries of St. Patrick, Lawnridge and Trinity Memorial Gardens, all in Rochelle.
