ROCHELLE — Members of the community joined city manager Jeff Fiegenschuh, along with Jeff Leininger, Deputy Chief, and Eric Higby, Police Chief for coffee and conversation during a City Spotlight meeting Tuesday. The 2017 annual Rochelle Police Department report was the topic of discussion.
Fiegenschuh plans to host monthly meetings during September through May.

“It’s an opportunity to bring local government closer to our residents by highlighting our departments, their core service focus, and the many capital projects we are working on,” Fiegenschuh said.
The next City Spotlight is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library with special guest Adam Lanning, Superintendent of Water/Water Reclamation. The topic will include an overview of the departments along with projects that will be in focus in the coming years.
In May, Fiegenschuh will host Jason Bird, Electric Superintendent and Barbara Bell, RMU Customer Service Supervisor.
Fiegenschuh also noted an additional one or two community meetings will be scheduled in May to discuss the new Strategic Plan once it is adopted by the city council.
