ROCHELLE — Rochelle City Council members voted 5-2 Monday night in favor of accepting a conditional use permit for a retail business in the ‘Hub City’ after previously denying the petition earlier this month, but not before placing a special condition on the ordinance.
Council members Monday night approved the proposed conditional use permit in the Planned Unit Development – Commercial zoning district to allow a business operating under the name Sinbad Vapors, LLC at 1231 Caron Road for retail sale of electronic cigarettes, vapor and related products in accessors; however, a stipulation, or special condition, was added to the conditional use permit — no on-sight consumption of products.
