CHANA — On the morning of Sept. 3, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office took numerous reports of houses and vehicles having been burglarized in Chana.
On the morning of Sept. 4, Ogle County detectives took into custody and subsequently arrested Franklin T. Houston, Jr., 21 of Chana and charged him with one count of residential burglary, a Class 1 felony.
Authorities claim that several pieces of alleged stolen property have been recovered and detectives are still identifying the owners of the property.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges on Houston are pending. Houston was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held without bond pending a court appearance on Sept. 5.
