Couple sets up fund for foundation

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is excited to announce the creation of a new fund with the purpose of providing future grants that will fund projects to further the arts in the Rochelle area.
The Daniel & Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts was established with the Rochelle Area Community Foundation on Aug. 1.
As an acorn fund, the donor intends to grow the principal balance of the fund over time, creating a permanent Donor Advised Fund from which the donors will recommend grants to the Rochelle Area Community Foundation Board.

“Stephanie and I have always had a passion for art, and we didn’t see many permanent art displays that showcased the many artistic talents that our community has,” Daniel Williams said. “We couldn’t think of a better way to help foster those artistic endeavors than by creating this fund.”
RACF executive director Kim Montgomery said the Williamses have been very generous supporters of the community in many ways over the years, sharing their time and talent through their business, Lifeworks Photography, and individually through their volunteer leadership with boards of directors of various local organizations.
“We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts to build a fund that will benefit and enhance the community during their lifetimes and after, as their children and children’s children learn to become generous givers and future advisors of the fund,” Montgomery said.
