Creston Booster Days boasts something for everyone

CRESTON — The 61st annual Creston Booster Days wrapped up over the weekend with plenty of fun had by all.
Co-chair Tonya Sarver said the garden tractor pulls, which was new this year was a big hit. Along with the food, carnival rides, and vendors, the entertainment provided by the bands provided a great variety everyone enjoyed. As with every year people lined Main Street for the parade, checked out the many cars at the show and watched the vintage baseball game.
“We made some positive changes this year by blending some new ideas from the younger people as well as with the older ones that have done this before,” Sarver said. “We couldn’t have asked for better weather and a better turnout.”

Sarver expressed gratitude at everyone that assisted throughout the preparations as well as during the weekend event, including the dinner Friday night. Close to 100 people were served at the Creston Opera House that evening. Sarver along with husband Lonie chaired the event.
“We had a lot of help being co-chairs of our first year,” Sarver said. “Anyone that came out to help, we truly appreciate it. It was nice to have a lot of help.”
