CRESTON — As part of the festivities last weekend, Gabby Davis has been named the new Creston Booster Days Queen. Danica Ward was the first runner up. Pictured from left, Aaliyah Glover, Samantha Thorne, Danica Ward, Sydney Thorne, and Gabby Davis. All five girls wrote an essay on an Illinois legend. They were judged on the essay that they read and how they presented it and their poise. They were also asked some random questions by emcee Dave Brown. The contest was open to girls in sixth through eighth grades. As queen, Davis received a crown, sash, $100 and a bouquet. First runner up Ward received a sash, $50 and a bouquet. All of the girls received flowers and ride tickets.
