ROCHELLE – Rochelle city engineer Sam Tesreau has announced that Friday morning a truck struck the Creston Road bridge over I-39 in the northbound lane.
The damage is being assessed by the Illinois Department of Transportation and will be repaired over the next few weeks.
As of 10 a.m. Friday Creston Road was closed to through traffic by the City of Rochelle and will remain closed until further notice.
A temporary detour will be posted to reroute traffic to IL Route 38 via Dement and Mulford roads
