Bids for the Safe Routes to School project will be sent out in January 2021.

CRESTON — The Village of Creston approved two resolutions during its monthly meeting Tuesday evening. Trustees voted to approve $156,279 in federal funds for the Safe Routes to School sidewalk project and revised an ordinance allowing for tenants to be billed individually for utilities. Bids for the Safe Routes to School project will be sent out in January 2021.
Village trustees also approved the 2021 tax levy and 2021 meeting schedule. The village will lexy just over $20,000 in taxes, nearly a $1,000 increase from last year. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at 7 p.m. Village Hall will be closed on Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas Day and Jan. 2, 2021 in observance of New Year’s Day.
