The Rochelle varsity boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Hoover Park on Saturday for the Rock River Run hosted by Sterling. The Lady Hubs placed 12th out of 16 schools with 320 points while the Hubs took 16th with 502 points.

STERLING — The Rochelle varsity boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Hoover Park on Saturday for the Rock River Run hosted by Sterling. The Lady Hubs placed 12th out of 16 schools with 320 points while the Hubs took 16th with 502 points.
Senior Katherine Bakken led the Lady Hubs by finishing 18th out of 173 runners with a time of 19:18.6. Junior Britney Baez placed 63rd with a time of 21:10.7 while senior Anne Hickey took 84th in 22:09.5. Freshman Sara Johnson was 91st in 22:38.4 to round out Rochelle’s top four varsity girls on Saturday.
Junior Tucker Louis placed 99th out of 196 runners with a time of 18:26.2 to lead all Rochelle boys. Sophomore Aiden Seldal finished 142nd with a time of 20:05.7 while senior Xavier Arriaga was 162nd in 20:43.2. Junior Parker Hale took 166th in 20:52.9 to round out the top four Hubs on Saturday.
Rochelle will travel to Genoa for the Matt Walter Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.
