CHANA — Daniel G. Dahlquist, 61, of Chana, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Serenity Hospice and Home. He was born on Dec. 1, 1954 in Evanston, to Donald and Nancy (Olson) Dahlquist.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara R. Dahlquist (Weber), his father Don, and his cat Ginger.
Dan married Barb on May 4, 1979 in Rolling Meadows. He was employed by several vending machine repair companies including Ace Coffee Bar and Tri-R Vending. His last place of employment was Alloyd in Dekalb. Dan enjoyed hiking, movies, and collecting whatever he set his mind to. He had a great and unique sense of humor.
Survivors include his daughter, Sara (Patrick) Wigmore of Bronx, N.Y.; grandson, William Wigmore; son, Brian (Irma) Dahlquist of Palatine; granddaughter, Kamala Dahlquist; mother, Nancy Dahlquist of Rolling Meadows; sister, Diane (Lee) Pride of McHenry; and sister, Darlene (Craig) Uselding of Evanston. Cremation rites were arranged by Unger-Horner.
