MAPLE PARK — The Hubs sophomore baseball team had its three-game win streak snapped on Tuesday, as the boys fell to the Kaneland Knights by a score of 5-2.
Noah Knight and Mason DeLille each drove in one run for the Hubs, who move to 7-3-1 on the season with the loss. DeLille and Cody Johnson both doubled in the game, while Hayden Jones went 1-for-3 with a single.
Jones started on the mound for Rochelle, with freshman Kaleb Hess shining in relief, tossing three innings while striking out two. Hess showed his poise by not allowing a single run despite walking four batters.
The sophomores will return home on Thursday to wrap up their two-game set with Kaneland.
