Deputies arrest several on outstanding warrants

On Oct. 5 the following individuals were arrested on Outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Steven Rozakis, 35, for violation of sex offender registry. Rozakis didn’t post $10,000 (10 percent) for bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 6.
James Ellis, 40, of Freeport, for failure to appear. Ellis received a $1,000 recog for bond and will appear in court on Oct. 30.
On Oct. 5 at approximately 6:04 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of South Freeport Road. After further investigation, Paige Kerr, 22, of Freeport, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Kerr was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis less than 10 grams. Kerr was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 8000 block of S. Green Street in Grand Detour reference to a one vehicle accident with an injured driver. After investigation, deputies learned a 16-year-old female juvenile from Dixon, was traveling westbound in a Toyota Camry on Broad Street approaching the curve to Green Street. As the driver negotiated the curve, she lost control traveling off of the east side of the roadway and struck a mailbox before striking a tree. The driver was transported to KSB Hospital by Dixon Rural EMS for non-life threatening injuries. The driver was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
