Deputies investigate one-vehicle accident

On Feb. 10 at 11:01 p.m., Ogle County deputies responded to the 4000 block of South Ridge Road for a one-vehicle accident with injuries. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Carli D. Janecek, 20, of Mt. Morris, for driving under the influence, unlawful consumption of alcohol as a minor and an outstanding warrant from Ogle County for failure to appear. Deputies were assisted by Oregon Ambulance. The accident remains under investigation.
Feb. 11
On Feb. 11 at 5:20 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies along with the Illinois State Police and Lynn-Scott-Rock EMS/Fire were advised of a two vehicle crash on I-39 N/B at mile marker 107 with an injury. After investigation it was determined that Michael Boyk, 37, of Loves Park, had lost control of his Chevrolet Camaro while driving northbound on I-39 causing the vehicle to spin and strike a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jacob Clem, 33, of Rockford. Boyk was issued traffic citations and was uninjured. Clem was transported to SwedishAmerican Hospital by EMS for non life-threatening injuries.
On Feb. 11, Trey Brugman, 24, of Stillman Valley, was arrested for three outstanding Ogle County warrants: Possession of cannabis ($5,000/10 percent), theft ($3,000/10 percent) and failure to appear ($1,780 full cash). Brugman will appear in court on Feb. 13.
