Deputies respond to domestic dispute

On Feb. 2 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 5773 E. Brick road in Oregon. This was in response to a report of a domestic dispute occurring at the location. After an investigation, DC Hitchcock, 31, of Oregon, was arrested for aggravated battery to a senior citizen and domestic battery. Hitchcock was transported to the Ogle County Corrections center where he is currently being held in lieu of bond. 

Feb. 3

On Feb. 3 at approximately 12:23 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the Mt. Morris Estates Trailer Park. After further investigation Scott Shirley, 30, of Mt. Morris, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. Shirley was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Feb. 4

On Feb. 4 at approximately 9:44 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop in the 5600 block of South Chana Road. After investigation, deputies placed Teresa Ortiz, 48, of Ashton, under arrest for driving while license suspended.  Ortiz was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. 

On Feb. 4, Lawrence Williams, 32, of Chicago, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving 15 to 20 m.p.h. over the limit. Williams posted the $1,500/10 percent bond and was released with a court date of March 1.

Feb. 5

On Feb. 5, Brandon Blackman, 33, of Rockford, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving while license suspended. Blackman was unable to post the bond of $3,000/10 percent and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Blackman will appear in court on Feb. 6.
