ROCHELLE — Dorothy Helen Conway, 87, of Rochelle, passed away on Aug. 8, 2018 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born May 19, 1931 in Kenmore, N.Y., to Francis and Adeline (Glogoza) Budnik.
She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a cornerstone of the choir for many years.
A very devoted wife and loving mother, Dorothy touched many with her beautiful voice and kind, caring nature. A woman of strong faith, she was active in several ministries of service to others.
Dorothy is survived by three children, Michael Conway of Freeport, Christopher (Madeline) Conway of Rockford, and Cheryl Conway (Paul Carter) of Melbourne, Australia; one brother, Raymond Budnik of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Nick Conway, Liam Ribush, Gabriel Ribush, Melissa Pichon and Kenneth Shearer; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, John Conway; and one brother, Frank Budnick.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rochelle. Visitation will be held prior from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
