On Feb. 5 at approximately 9:43 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Coffman Road and IL Route. 26 in reference to semi truck with a semi trailer which had rolled over. After investigation, deputies learned a 2004 Peterbilt semi truck hauling a semi trailer with milk was traveling westbound in the 15,000 block of W. Coffman Road. The semi truck had just turned off of IL Route 26 and only traveled approximately 50 feet, before the semi caught the north edge of the ditch. The driver, Dennis Cross, 55, of Winnebago, was unable to control the semi truck and trailer before it tipped on the passenger side. Cross was transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital by Forreston EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
Feb. 7
On Feb. 7, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tiffany Barracks-Spates, 37, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Baracks-Spates was held in lieu of bond at the jail.
On Feb. 7 the following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants.
