Electronics recycling drop-off day planned

ROCHELLE — The RMU Water Dept. will host an Electronics Recycling Drop-Off Day for Rochelle residents on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents dropping off items will be required to show a photo ID.
Acceptable items for drop-off include:  Televisions, monitors, printers, computers, fax machines, keyboards, electronic mice, VCRs, portable digital music players, video game consoles, small scale servers, scanners, digital converter boxes, cable and satellite receivers, and DVD players.
Alternate electronics recycling options include:

Ogle County Solid Waste offers a drop-off location at 909 West Pines Road on the last Friday of each month. For details, call 815-732-4020
Ogle and Lee counties typically host collection events in the spring and fall and alternate between locations in Dixon and Oregon. For details, call 815-732-4020
The City of Rochelle will host two collection events at the treatment plant each year for Rochelle residents only.
To reach the RMU Water Treatment Plant from Ill. Rte. 251, turn onto Lakeview Drive. From Lakeview Drive, turn left onto South Ninth Street. Follow Ninth Street into the plant entrance.
