ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Elementary District swore in newly-elected board members during its special meeting at Rochelle Middle School Wednesday evening.
Returning to the board are Dave Casey, Steve Builta, Shirley Reif, Trisha Vaughn, Jean Tess, Eric Van Hise and Javier Zepeda. Casey will continue to assume his position as president, while Builta and Reif will reprise their respective roles as vice president and secretary.
Reif, Tess and Vaughn will represent the Negotiating Committee, while Reif and Zepeda were assigned to the District/REEA (Real Estate Educators Association) Insurance Committee. Builta was assigned to the OCEC (Ogle County Educational Cooperative) Governing Board, and Tess will serve as the board’s delegate to the IASB (Illinois Association of School Boards).
Ad hoc committees will be appointed as needed, according to the meeting agenda. The board will continue to meet at 7 p.m. in the RMS Media Center on the second Tuesday of each month under the direction of Superintendent Todd Prusator.
