ROCHELLE –– All eyes will be on the street Sunday afternoon as the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival weaves downtown Rochelle.
The annual parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20 and runs Highway 38 to Lincoln Highway. The theme for the parade is “heritage and history of Rochelle and Lincoln Highway.”
Registration and line-up begins at noon at St. Patrick’s Learning Center. Semi’s and large units should line up in Sullivan’s parking lot.
Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival committee members recently posed with their completed float for the parade. They include Al Kvool and Willie Watson, Pete Agnos, Markus Anton, Lisa Chrisco, Beth Kvool, Laura Thomas, Kathy Burke Yocum, Cristel Pullin Spartz and Rose Edwards. Committee members not available at the time of the photo are Danielle Bettner, Dan Escatel, Lisa Schwarz, Rene Schwarrt, Chuck Cawley, Robin Baldwin and Laurie Eyster.
