The final Boy Scout Troop 553 pack meeting was held on May 15. The troop met at Skare Park and gave out final awards, summer announcements and had hotdogs and s’mores over a campfire. All of the Tigers, Wolfs, Bears and Webelos got final awards and advanced to the next rank. The troop also said goodbye to activities chair John Volkert and cubmaster Tom McDermott. They both recieved plaques as a gift for the years of service to Pack 553. They will be moving on the lead Boy Scouts.
